Biography

History
Linda Ang was born in Singapore. She holds a B. Mus.from Edinburgh as well as teaching and performing diplomas. Whilst studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, she won several prizes including the Royal Overseas League Prize for Accompanists.

Tours
At the Guildhall School of Music, she was also invited to become harpsichordist of the Guildhall String Ensemble, which won the first prize at the Internationales Jeunesses Musicales Competition in Belgrade, (former Yugoslavia). Their subsequent tour of the continent ended in Spain where Linda was soloist with Jean-Pierre Rampal in Bach's 5th Brandenburg Concerto.

Since leaving the Guildhall, Linda had concentrated on the piano and has a growing career as soloist and accompanist. In 1989, Linda was an official accompanist for the International Vocalisten Concours in "s Hertogenbosch, Holland. Since then, her career has taken her back to the Continent to Germany, including eastern bloc countries like Poland, and further afield to Tenerife, Mauritius and Singapore. She has also recorded for Dutch and Mauritius television, Radio Scotland, Radio Oxford and broadcast live on Classic FM and Premier Radio. More recently, Linda made her debut in her native Singapore playing the Grieg Piano Concert and several other concerts.

Recordings
Her first solo CD, "Songs without Words" was released 6 years ago. To date, she has 7 CDs on the market. Her latest recording, "Diva at the Keys" was released in 2002.

Media attention
The Singapore "Straits Times" and the "Silver Kris" (Singapore Airlines In-flight Magazine) have written enthusiastically about her career to date. Linda was also featured on the cover of "Woman Alive" in 1999.

Current
In April 2002, Linda's career took a new direction with the soprano Janet Fairlie. Together, as "Diva Diva" they have found much success in bringing classical music to passengers on luxury cruise liners. In 2004, their journeys continue to take them round the world.

In 2003, the company "Theodoro Classics Ltd." was started. The company is a promotional vehicle for Linda's musical activities, and is named after her much loved pussy cat.
